Nicknamed "Big D", Dave DeBusschere was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 1962 and traded to the NY Knicks in 1968. He was one of the game's all time best defenders, having been elected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in each of the awards first six years of existence from 1969-74. He was voted to the NBA All-Rookie team in 1963 and was an eight time NBA All-Star (1966-68, '70-73). As a member of the New York Knicks, he won two NBA championships, one in 1970 and the other in 1973. He was elected to Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983 and was voted one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996. Silver Relief medallion in excellent condition. There are several light scratches on the background and some discoloration on his nose. Biography plaque is in fine condition, with very light wear to the surface.
