First minted in South Africa in 1967, the kruggerand has become one of the most popular and heavily collected coins in the world. Never intended to be an aesthetically pleasing coin, just a lump of gold with a known weight and value, the coin features a portrait of Paul Kruger, the "Father of the Afrikaner Nation" on the front and the Springbok gazelle, the national animal of South Africa on the reverse. Made into a pendant, comes with a 20" 14K gold chain. In overall EX-MT condition with minor scratching.
