MLB and corporate sponsor Century 21 have begun staging 14 "Turn Ahead the Clock" games, with "futuristic" unis that reflect how the game might look in 2021. This was worn in the 1999 season as a special "Futures" promotion from Century 21. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "RUSSELL" manufacturer's tag with the jersey size "46" and wash instructions on it. In the collar of the jersey is another RUSSELL" manufacturer's tag with the jersey size "46" and wash instructions on it. Across the front of the jersey is "PADRES" in white. Going down the right side of the back is "LEYRITZ" sewn directly on the jersey in silver tackle twill. Next to that is player number "13" in silver on navy blue on white triple tackle twill. On the right shoulder is the embroidered "R" Russell logo. The jersey shows game use and there appears to be no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from the Leyrtiz family.
