For the 1971 season, "Say Hey" Willie Mays continued his dominance as one of the greatest of all-time, and while his power numbers weren't what they used to be, he found other ways to help his club, like leading the entire league in on-base percentage and walks. The Giants would manage to make the playoffs and play in the NLCS. Manuf: H&B, Model: D2, Length: 34.75 in, Weight: 32.8 oz, Wood: Ash, Condition: Only a dozen of these model bats were ordered by Willie for the 1972 season. The bat is un-cracked and exhibits nice overall use with hit and ball transfer marks along the back and left barrel. Groove marks have been gouged into the handle along with some pine tar to aide in grip. Green and black bat rack streaks cover the barrel and some of the handle. Hand written on the knob end is the HOFer's number "24" in black marker. Bat weight "33" is written on the knob end in pencil along with model number "D2" stamped into the knob end. Willie signed the left barrel in black marker which rates a solid 9. Overall: EXCELLENT Accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA and an additionall LOA detailing the bats origin.
