The 1969 "Amazin' Mets" or "Miracle Mets" won the teams first NL pennant and World Series championship, upsetting the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles 4 games to 1. They were managed by baseball legend Gil Hodges and their pitching staff was anchored by Tom Seaver, who won 25 games and the NL Cy Young that season. Their rags to riches story will always be one of the greatest turnarounds in baseball history. This natural McLaughlin-Millard Adirondack Gil Hodges model bat is autographed by 25 members of this storied team. There signatures including Tom Seaver, Ed Kranepool, Tug McGraw, Duffy Dyer, Tommy Agee, Jerry Grote, Nolan Ryan, Ron Swoboda, Al Weis, Jerry Koosman, Donn Clendenon, J.C. Martin, Ed Charles and Wayne Garrett. All signatures are in either blue or black marker and rate between a 5 and a 9. There is a gold sticker on the upper handle stating "1969 World Champion N.Y. METS". Accompanied by a LOA by James Spence Authentication and an additional LOA.
