This rare red and blue stitched Reach OAL Johnson baseball has been signed in blue and black fountain pen by over 20 members of the 1926 American League Champion New York Yankees. Seven members of the 1926 Yankees would go on to induction at Cooperstown, including four who have signed this ball. Signatures include HOFers Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri and Waite Hoyt, Ben Paschal, Urban Shocker, Pat Collins, Benny Bengough, Joe Dugan, Walter Beale, John "Honey" Barnes (only Major League appearance was one game for the 1926 Yankees), Henry "Nick" Cullop (played two games for the 1926 Yankees), Spencer Adams (played for the Yankees only in 1926) and several others. Sam Bohne is also on the ball, he played for the Reds from 1921-1926 and was signed by the Brooklyn Robins in June of 1926; perhaps he took a trip cross town to try out for the Yankees as well and has the opportunity to sign this ball. Ball is toned with some spotting, signatures range in grade from 2 (very light) to 6, with the Ruth grading a 5 and the Gehrig a 3. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
