Ed Manning played college basketball for the Jackson State University Tigers from 1963-1967 and is currently #9 on the JSU career point scoring list with 1,610. Manning was inducted into the Jackson State University Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. Manning's career as a player took him to several NBA and ABA teams including the Baltimore Bullets where his jersey number was 35, as well as various European franchises. In 1985, he was hired as an assistant basketball coach at the University of Kansas under Larry Brown. He is the father of former NBA player Danny Manning. On the front left tail is the "Wilson" manufacturer’s size 40 wash instructions tag. Across the front of the jersey is “BULLETS." Below that and on back is the player number "35." All lettering and numbering is done in white on orange tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
