The Philadelphia Warriors existed from 1946-47 through 1961-62. They were named after the Philadelphia Warriors, a former ABL team owned by Eddie Gottlieb. They won two NBA (BAA) Championships in 1947 and 1956. The franchise had such great Hall of Famers as Wilt Chamberlain, Paul Arizin, Al Cervi and Tom Gola. Inside the rear collar is the “Lowe & Campbell” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a small tear in the lining. Inside the right pocket is a felt strip tag with player number “9”. On the rear outer cape is “PHILA WARRIORS” in blue satin. The zipper is not in working condition. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Magnificent and gorgeous in every way.
