For five consecutive years from 1974-78, Jimmy Connors was ranked the # 1 men's tennis player in the world. He has won five U.S Opens becoming the only man ever to win the U.S Open on three different surfaces. He holds the record for singles titles with 109 and was elected to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1998. This Wilson "T-2000" tennis racket was used by Connors at the U.S Open in Flushing Meadow Park between the years 1977-81. The racket has an aluminum frame with a faded red "W" across the strings. The brown leather grip is well-worn and measures "4 1/2 L". The leather grip has been signed by Connors in silver marker rating a 7+. Three pieces of silver tape have been put on the top and one side of the racket. Accompanying the racket are signed statements by both Jimmy Connors and his coach, Dave Henderson as to the authenticity of the racket.
