Super Bowl Champions in 1986 and 1990, the Giants were led by their ferocious defensive leader, Lawrence Taylor. A defensive stand-out at the University of North Carolina, LT's combination of speed and strength proved to be too much for opposing lineman terrorizing quarterbacks weekly for 13 seasons from 1981-94. In 1986, Taylor was named NFL MVP becoming only the third defensive player since 1970 to win the award. This N.Y. Giants white mesh road jersey was worn by the HOFer during the early 1990s. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and on the left front tail is the "Cosby" label with the size tag " XL" adjacent to it. On the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the name "Taylor" in blue ironed on letters. The player number "56" appears on the front, back, and on each sleeve of the jersey in blue on red ironed on numbers. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
