Derek Harper played three seasons for the Fighting Illini and coach Lou Henson having his best season in 1982–1983, when he led the Fighting Illini in scoring with 15.4 points per game. Harper was named First-Team All-Big Ten and Second-Team All-American in 1983, and was Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in both 1981 and 1982. Harper was elected to the "Illini Men's Basketball All-Century Team" in 2004. On the left front tail is the “Alexander’s Sporting Goods” tag. Attached are two flag tags, “2” and a faded tag. Across the front is “FIGHTING ILLINI”. Player number “12” appears on both the front and back. All numbers and letters are done in orange on white tackle twill. Inside the rear waistband of the matching shorts is the “Powers” tag with wash instructions and size “34”. Player number “12” is written in black marker. On each side is a beautifully embroidered Indian head. This uniform was originally sourced from Harper himself. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use.
