Sam Jones spent all of his twelve seasons in the NBA with the Boston Celtics who drafted him in the first round in 1957. He was known as a clutch scorer, and scored over 15,000 points in his career. He participated in five All-Star Games, and is usually recognized as one of the best point guards of his generation. Jones was named to the All-NBA Second Team three straight years and he played on ten championship teams, a total exceeded only by teammate Bill Russell in NBA history. He was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984. Top 50 All-Time player. On the front inside tail is the "Horace Partridge” manufacturer's tag with the jersey size "44" on it. Across the front is "BOSTON." Below that and on the back is the player number "24." All lettering and numbering is done in white tackle twill. The jersey has been autographed on front number in black marker with “HOF 83” added and rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. Accompanied by a LOA from Sam Jones.
