"In an era where the average major college basketball center was around 6'8" and 210 pounds, the 6'11", 235-pound Akron native was a monster." That's how one sportswriter summed up Nate Thurmond. While his name doesn't appear in the top ten of the career scoring list, you'd be hard pressed to name one player that had more of an effect on the Bowling Green basketball program. These sneakers are white Converse with red trim. Inside the right tongue is “Converse Chuck Taylor” in red screen print. On the rubber sole of each is “Converse All Star 16.” The laces are fully intact. The shoes show light game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. They are accompanied by a photo of Nate on the court in college wearing this style sneaker.
