Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky is the leading point-scorer in NHL history, with more assists than any other player has points, and is the only NHL player to total over 200 points in one season – a feat he accomplished four times. The NHL retired his jersey number 99 league-wide, making him the only player to receive this honor. The knob code is inscribed “A.E 33” which dates it to approximately 1993. This style of shaft with maroon colored “EASTON” graphic on the rear blade also dates it to this era. Gretzky signed on the throat of the blade in black marker with the added inscription “To Corey Your Friend, Wayne Gretzky 99” and in our opinion rates a strong 8. The handle of the stick has the proper shaved/taper “JACK THE GRIPPER”. The blade is taped in the exact fashion for a 1993 gamer. The stick shows use with abrasions, cuts and shaft wear. The “GRETZKY” factory stamps are present on both the blade and upper shaft. Accompanied by a Joe Esposito LOA.
