Ralph Sampson was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012. In 1984, Sampson was named Rookie of the Year, averaging 21 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. On the left front tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. Below is a strip tag with “3 in XL” embroidered in white chain stitch. Inside the left seam are two “Rawlings” flag tags, “Adult 42” and “3 Inch Extra Length”. Across the front is “HOUSTON”. Player number “50” appears on both the front and on the back. Player name “SAMPSON” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows outstanding use.
