Guy Ruff famously recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the 1982 playoffs against the San Diego Chargers. Riddell manufactured helmet with the Steelers team logo decal on the right side. The left clip reads “5” and the right clip reads “2”. On the front bumper reads “Riddell”. The player number “36” decal appears above the front bumper and on the back. Adjacent to the number on the back is the size “L” “MEETS NOC-SAE STANDARD” and a PSA/DNA sticker serial number “S97982”. The player name “RUFF” is handwritten on a piece of tape inside the left earhole. Inside the dome of the helmet is a Riddell “WARNING” label. The original padding on the inside is intact as is the face mask and chin strap. Terry Bradshaw signed the outside right dome of the helmet in gold marker with the added inscription “Steelers 12” and in our opinion the signature rates a 6. This helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA, a PSA/DNA COA and an additional LOA.
