Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993, Calvin Murphy spent his entire career with the San Diego/Houston Rockets. Murphy scored nearly 18,000 points in his NBA career and is the shortest member inducted into the Hall of Fame. Murphy has his No. 23 retired by the Rockets franchise. On the front left tail is a “SAND-KNIT” distributor’s tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the HOUSTON ROCKETS”. Below is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “SIZE 38” with washing instructions. Across the chest reads, “ROCKETS”, the player number “23” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “MURPHY”. All numbering and lettering is done in red tackle twill sewn directly onto the white mesh jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
