HOFer Bob McAdoo is one of the most collectable names of his era and in addition to that, this is a rare and highly desirable style. He initially played Junior College Ball, before his Mother called UNC and put them on scouting notice, where he eventually led Dean Smith and the Tar Heels to a final four, before entering the Pro game. It was rumored that McAdoo had signed with the Virginia Squires of the rival American Basketball Association after a "secret" ABA draft. Even though no contract was produced and McAdoo denied it, NBA Commissioner Walter Kennedy reportedly advised NBA teams not to draft McAdoo. He played center for the majority of his career. In his 21-season playing career, he spent 14 seasons in the NBA and his final seven in the Lega Basket Serie A in Italy. McAdoo is one of the few players who have won both NBA and the FIBA European Champions Cup (EuroLeague) titles as a player. He later won three more NBA titles in 2006, 2012 and 2013 as an assistant coach with the Miami Heat. Inside the button tail of this baby blue knit warmup, is the Wilson label with wash instructions, size (46) and a flag tag attached with ‘4” X LONG '' handwritten in black marker. Player number (11) is faintly handwritten on one side of the Wilson tag and number (22) on the other. Braves logo patch on the left breast. ‘BUFFALO’ is done across the back in white on black tackle twill. This warmup is attributed to McAdoo, properly tagged, presented to us as player-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
