In an age where current pro athletes are synonymous with greed, bad attitudes and lack of work ethic, it is all too easy too reflect back on times not so long ago, when athletes played simply for the love of the game, teammates, fans and the like. From those days came a handful of heroes; from those days arose a man who is referred to as "Broadway Joe." The highlights of Joe Namath's football career are numerous and the list is long. But one of the most notable highlights was Super Bowl III, when he led the underdog New York Jets to an upset victory over the Baltimore Colts. On the left front tail of this jersey is the "Champion" label with the size "L." On the back of the jersey is the name "Namath" in white letters. The player number "12" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve of the jersey. The numbers on the front and back are white and the numbers on the sleeves are green. The letters and numbers have been ironed-on. There is an autograph on the back number "2" which rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
