Inside the rear collar is the “Pearson” manufacturer’s tag. On the left chest is the large “Squire” patch beautifully embroidered in red and blue chain stitch on white tackle twill. Across the back is “VIRGINIA” in red on white tackle twill block letters. On the left sleeve is the number “2”, also done in red on white tackle twill. There is a second number removed from the sleeve adjacent to the “2” which appears to have been a “3” or a “5” by the outline which remains on the jacket. Uniform number “25” was worn by Jim Eakins during this era and number “23” was worn by William Franklin. The zipper is fully functional. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows wear. Other than what is mentioned, there appear to be no further alterations of any kind.
