Mfg. Baumgarten & co., Baltimore, MD, patented 1901. Nickel plated cast iron and ribbed design border. Amusing action involves dropping a coin into the slot of the lever, which is then pulled back causing the wheel of fortune to spin until lever is returned to its position. Fortune appears in top window, coins are retrieved by unlocking the safe. The bank appears to be non functional as the wheel does not turn when a coin is placed into the lever and pulled. The wheel spins freely on its own and the the fortune readings display expected age and material loss.
