Lou Gehrig teamed with Babe Ruth to form baseball's most devastating hitting tandem ever. "The Iron Horse" had 13 consecutive seasons with both 100 runs scored and 100 RBI, setting an American League mark with 184 RBI in 1931. Gehrig hit a record 23 grand slams and won the 1934 Triple Crown behind a .363 average with 49 home runs and 165 RBI. His .361 batting average in seven World Series led the Yankees to six titles in 13 years. This black and white 8x10 photo depicts Gehrig smiling in the iconic Yankees cap. Gehrig signed the photo in black pen with a personal inscription to his friend Dick Loftus’ wife and reads “To Mrs. Loftus with best wishes” and in our opinion the signature rates a 10. Accompanied by a full LOA from JSA.
