Known for his hitting brilliance, George Herman “Babe” Ruth set career records for home runs (714), slugging percentage (.690), RBI (2,217), and on-base plus slugging (1.164). He became one of the first five players to be elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. During World War II, MLB promoted the sale of War Bonds, and one of the events was a fundraiser that featured an exhibition contest in which numerous active and retired baseball stars participated including Babe Ruth. Offered is a program from one of the games autographed by Ruth. Ruth signed on a page that details his first game in black ink with the added inscription “To Berty From Babe Ruth” and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA. VG Condition.
