The New York Yankees retired Derek Jeter’s number on 9/7/2014 in a home game against the Houston Astros. The final manager in Jeter’s career, Joe Girardi, wore this jersey and cap that day. On the front left tail is the Majestic manufacturer’s tag size with a Steiner hologram serial number “206295”. Two flag tags are attached reading the size “48” and the year “2014”. Adjacent below is a Yankees team barcode with a “MLB” hologram serial number “HZ556073”. On the left inseam is the “100% POLYESTER” tag with washing instructions. On the left sleeve is the “DEREK JETER NEW YORK YANKEES CAPTAIN” patch worn on this day. On the left chest is the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo embroidered in navy blue tackle twill. On the rear collar is the official MLB logo embroidered in navy blue, silver and white. Across the back is the manager number “28” in navy blue tackle twill. On the rear sweatband of the all navy blue the cap is the New Era manufacturer’s tag with the size “7 3/8” tag adjacent to the right. On the buckram of the cap is the number “28” handwritten in black marker. Under the brim is a Steiner hologram serial number “206294” and a MLB hologram serial number “HZ556609”. On the outside left side of the hat is another “DEREK JETER NEW YORK YANKEES CAPTAIN” patch. The Yankees “NY” interlocking is on the front in white and the “MLB” logo patch is on the back in navy blue, silver, and white. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as manager-worn and shows use. Accompanied by a LOA from Steiner.
