Spalding manufactured ONL baseball. This ball was used in a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates, a game the Cardinals won 9-5. This ball was presented to the winning pitcher Bob Gibson, who pitched 8 inning striking out 9 hitters. This was Gibson’s 4th victory of the season and 75th overall in his Hall of Fame career. There are numerous stats and information about the game handwritten on the ball. Gibson signed the ball in blue pen and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
