On this night (specifically), the Rangers defeated the Avs and HOFer Henrik Lundqvist was 25/27 on saved shots. This white jersey was also worn by Lundqvist as Set 2 for the 2016-17 season between December 1, 2016 and January 22, 2017. This time span would see two major milestones happen for Henrik. The first came on New Years Eve in the Rangers 6-2 win over the Avs. With the Win, Henrik earned his 390th NHL career win passing Dominik Hasek to become the all-time leader in wins by a European born goaltender. Henrik also passed Hasek for sole possession of 12th place on the NHL’s all-time wins list. On January 22nd a Rangers 1-0 overtime win, Henrik became the first goalie in NHL history with 20 or more wins in his first 12 seasons. In yet another milestone win in a career filled with them, Lundqvist was masterful in stopping 21 shots to notch his 2nd shutout to date of the 2016-17 season and 61st of his career. This jersey was worn for both of these achievements by Henrik as well as victories against the Dallas Stars (2-0 win with 27 saves), Nashville (2-1 win with 31 saves), Flyers (5-2 win with 30 saves), Blue Jackets (5-4 win with 33 saves) and Maple Leafs (5-2 win with 23 saves). Inside the back of the neck is a New York Rangers code tag. Stitched below is the “MADE IN CANADA” tag with Steiner “GAME USED” hologram affixed and another “MADE IN CANADA” size tag (58). Embroidered on the front collar is the NHL logo patch. Team name (RANGERS) appears diagonally across the front, player number (30) on both sleeves as well as the back and player name (LUNDQVIST) across the back on a white nameplate. All being done in blue on red drop shadow tackle twill. There is a Reebok patch on the back of the neck. The right shoulder is adorned with a “NEW YORK RANGER 90 HOCKEY CLUB” patch. Below the player number on the left sleeve is the NHL “1917 2017 100” anniversary patch. Fight strap intact, which also has both a Rangers and an NHL Eastern identifier, as well as “SET 2 16-17”. Numerous stick marks and holes throughout. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding wear.
