Future first ballot Hall of Famer Albert Pujols used this bat to blast career home run #346 and possibly career home run #347 on June 27, 2009. Pujols hit career home run #346 in the first inning off of Minnesota starter Kevin Slowey with this photo-matched bat. Pujols took Slowey deep again his next at bat in the third inning likely with this same bat. Manufacturer: Marucci Model Number: AP5-M Custom Cut Labeling Period: 2009 Length: 34 1/8” Weight: 32.5 ounces Wood: Maple Finish: Black/Natural. This bat shows evidence of excellent use with a handle crack. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks are visible on the handle. The date of manufacture “4/30/09”, Pujols’ number “5, length “4” and weight “1.8” are stamped into the knob. Pujols signed the barrel of the bat in silver marker with the added inscription “MVP 05, 08” and in our opinion the signature rates a near 10. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU9 and an ALOA from JSA for the autograph.
