Jonathan Toews was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 2006 NHL Draft. Following his successful rookie campaign, Toews was named team captain of the Blackhawks. At 20 years and 79 days, he became the third-youngest team captain in NHL history. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native has also competed as a part of Team Canada including at the 2008 IIHF World Championships where he wore this jersey on May 8th, 2008 against Norway in a 2-1 victory. Stamped into the neck is the size “62” and below is a tag reading “AUTHENTIC COLLECTION IIHF”. A Nike tag is printed inside the rear left tail. Across the chest is the large “CANADA” team logo crest. Both sleeves feature a “Zepter International” advertisement logo as well as a Team Canada logo patch. Above these is the player number “16” in white on black tackle twill. The player number “16” also appears on the back in red on black tackle twill and across the back on a red nameplate is the player name “TOEWS” in white. On the rear right tail is the “IIHF 100 1908-2008” patch. Stick marks are present on both sleeves as well as the back and the tail has a pinkish hue. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a Hockey Canada LOA and a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match.
