A seven time Gold Glove award winner for the Hanshin ball club in Japan, Tsuyoshi Shinjo turned down a $12 million dollar contract to sign with the NY Mets in 2001. A hard working outfielder, he made the transition to the Major Leagues hitting .267 in 2001. This bat was used by Shinjo during that season. It was manufactured by Descente and is a 34 inch, 31.6 ounce M5 model bat that shows tremendous game use. The handle of the bat is cracked and shows a nice coat of pine tar. The full name block letter bat has his jersey number "5" written on both ends.
