The all-time home run king Barry Bonds was appointment television during the 2001 season when cracking down on Mark McGwire’s single-season home run mark of 70. Bonds set the bar with 73 home runs in a single-season, a record that may never be broken. Drawing 177 walks in the season, Bonds rarely saw a pitch he could square up, but when he was given a good pitch he would routinely take pitchers deep. Bonds wore these cleats during the 2001 season. FILA manufactured size “12” cleats with black, grey, and orange trim. Bonds signed the outside of the cleat in grey marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and a Bonds LOA.
