A jump from Class -A to the Major Leagues is not supposed to be as easy as Rafael made it look in 2000. Just 19 at the start of the season, he was named the National League's "Rookie of the Year" and Players Choice for "Outstanding Rookie." On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label and below is the size tag "44." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Braves" in red on blue tackle twill. Below this is the Braves "Tomahawk." On the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the name "Furcal" in blue tackle twill. Below this is the player number "1" in red on blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "All-Star Game" patch. The game was played in Atlanta that year. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
