Greg Maddux's professional career began at the age of eighteen when the Chicago Cubs drafted him in the second round. One of the best control pitchers in history, the four-time Cy Young Award winner might be the most dominant pitcher of the 1990s. He has achieved this with complete command and pinpoint accuracy. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label and below is the size tag "46." Under this is the "1" Extra Length" label. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Braves" in script-style letters made of red on blue tackle twill. Below this is the Braves "Tomahawk." On the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the name "Maddux" in blue tackle twill. Below this is the player number "31" in red on blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "All-Star Game" patch. The game was played in Atlanta that year. On the back of the shirt, at the neck, is the Major League Baseball logo patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
