HOFer Mario Lemieux was a pro’s pro - drafted first by the Penguins in 1984, led Pittsburgh to consecutive Cups in 1991 & 1992, under his ownership the Penguins won additional titles in 2009, 2016 and 2017 (he is the only man to have his name on the Cup as both a player and owner), led Team CA to Olympic Gold in 2002, 2004 World Cup of Hockey Champ and a CA Cup in 1987, 4x Lester B. Pearson winner, 3x Hart Trophy (NHL MVP) and Conn Smythe Trophy as playoffs MVP in 91 & 92. Mario took the phrase “he did it all” to a new level - he is the only player to score a goal in each of the five possible situations in a single NHL game. On the night this jersey was worn, Lemieux recorded one goal and two assists. The Penguins logo crest is at large on the front, in black, gold and white twill, with stick marks and staining present. Inside the back collar is a material tag with “66” written in black marker and a tag with “58”. Player number “66” is done on both sleeves as well as the back in white (patterned) on black on gold tackle twill. The KOHO manufacturer’s logo patch sewn onto the back collar. Player name “LEMIEUX” is done in white patterned twill across the back, on a black nameplate. Embroidered on the back right tail is the NHL logo. Stick marks present throughout. Fight strap intact with minor salting. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a MeiGray Team LOA, an SIA Photo-Match LOA as well as a Penguins Chronicle (Casey Samuelson) Video-Match LOA.
