Some of baseballs best first basemen are represented in this collection of bats, including Rod Carew, Will Clark, Frank Thomas, John Olerud, Fred McGriff, Cecil Fielder, and Mo Vaughn. the Carew is a 34.5 inch, 31.5 ounce, Hillerich and Bradsby model C243 that shows the 1977-79 labeling period. It shows light use with a light coat of pine tar on the handle, with his jersey number "29" on both ends. The Vaughn is a 36 inch, 36 ounce KC Slammer model MV3 from the 1996 season. It shows heavy use with a thick coat of pine tar and a handle crack. His number #42" appears on both ends. The Fielder is a 34.75 inch, 31.5 ounce Hillerich and Bradsby model C271 that shows the 1988-89 labeling period. It shows heavy game use with light pine tar on the cracked handle. The McGriff is a 35 inch, 33.2 ounce Worth model WC 135 that dates from the mid-1990s. It shows heavy game use with light pine tar and a handle crack. His number "39" appears on the knob.
