This Wilson manufactured trophy ball was presented to San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates following the January 8th, 2005 game against the New York Jets. One panel of the ball has been painted white and in part reads “THIS BALL PRESENTED TO Antonio Gates (1 yard TD pass from D. Brees)” “JANUARY 8, 2005 QUALCOMM STADIUM”. The number “85” has been handwritten in black marker on the panel beneath the paint.
