"Sweet D," "The Greyhound," "The Man with the Velvet Touch". Walter Davis was called a lot of different things during his days in Phoenix, and is still called the best pure shooter in Suns history. The part-time guard, part-time forward played 10 more seasons in the Valley, becoming the team's career leader in points (15,666). This trophy weighs 6.5 lbs. and stands approximately 17-1/2” tall. It was presented to Davis after he scored his 15,000th point in the NBA on January 30, 1988 as a member of the Phoenix Suns. The trophy features a regulation size brass basketball atop a wooden base that measures 9” x 9” x 5-1/4”. A plaque on the base reads “WALTER DAVIS - PHOENIX SUNS - 15,000 N.B.A. POINTS - JANUARY 30, 1988”. The trophy is in NRMT condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Walter Davis.
