Wade Boggs was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005 on the first ballot. Boggs reached 3,000 career hits during the 1999 season with the Devil Rays. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags reading “100% POLYESTER” and “2” EXTRA LENGTH”. On the left sleeve is a Devil Rays team logo patch and on the right sleeve is a “Russell Athletic” logo embroidered in purple. Across the front reads “DEVIL RAYS” in aqua, yellow, green and purple on white tackle twill, with a Devil Ray logo below. Across the back on a black nameplate is the player name “BOGGS” and below is the player number “12”. These are done in purple on black on white tackle twill. Boggs signed the front of the jersey with the added inscription “8/7/99 3000” and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
