In the 1999 NBA Playoffs, the Spurs defeated the Timberwolves 3–1, swept the Lakers and the Trail Blazers 4–0, and defeated the Knicks 4–1 in the Finals. In the first two games, the "Twin Towers" (Duncan & Robinson) outscored their Knicks counterparts with 41 points, 26 rebounds and nine blocks versus five points, 12 rebounds and zero blocks. After a Game 3 loss, Duncan rebounded with 28 points and 18 rebounds in a Game 4 win. With a strong 31-point and 9-rebound showing in Game 5, Duncan was named Finals MVP, bringing San Antonio their first-ever NBA championship. On the left front tail is the “Nike” manufacturer’s tag with jersey size “50”. Attached is a flag tag with “Length+4”. Inside the left seam are two large flag tags, one with wash instructions and the other with “1998-99” directly underneath. Across the front is “SPURS” done in black on grey tackle twill except the “U” done in grey on black on grey tackle twill in the shape of a “spur”. Player number “21” appears on both the front and back in black on grey tackle twill. Player name “DUNCAN” appears on back in black tackle twill. On the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. On the right is the “NBA Finals” embroidered patch. Adjacent is Duncan’s signature done in black marker rating a 7. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as NBA Finals game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
