This bat was used by St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Mark McGwire during the 1999 season in which he led the league in home runs (65) and RBI’s (147). Manufacturer: Rawlings Model Number: MAC25 Labeling Period: 1999 Length: 34.5 inches Weight: 31.7 ounces Wood: Ash Finish: Natural. This bat is uncracked and exhibits evidence of excellent use. Slight checking from repeated ball contact is on the back barrel. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left and back barrel. Also visible on the bat are red contact streaks. The model number “MAC25”, order number “410” and year “99” are stamped into the knob. The weight “33” and name “McGwire” are written on the knob in blue ink. McGwire signed the front barrel in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU 8 and an ALOA from JSA.
