Ray Bourque played with the Boston Bruins for 21 seasons and was the team’s longest-serving captain. He earned the Captain’s C patch, as he currently holds records for most career goals, assists and points by a defenseman in the NHL. Bourque won five Norris Trophies as the league's top defenseman and finished second to Mark Messier in 1990 in the closest race ever for the Hart Memorial Trophy, the league's Most Valuable Player award. On the inside of the rear tail reads, “LETTING BY CUSTOM CRAFTED NORTH ATTLEBORO, MASSACHUSETTS”. Adjacent reads, “OFFICIAL BOSTON BRUINS 1st SET 1999-00 SEASON”. Adjacent is the Boston Bruins team logo and adjacent reads, “2NHL”. These are all printed in black text. On the rear right tail is the official “NHL” shield logo embroidered and a Pro Player logo embroidered in black stitching. The fight strap is fully intact. On the left inseam is a materials tag with washing instructions. On the inside below the rear collar is a “AUTHENTIC PRO PLAYER” manufacturer’s tag with a size “56” flag tag attached below. On the right chest is a “2NHL” patch embroidered and on the left chest is the Captain’s “C” patch in yellow on black on white triple tackle twill. On the front center is the team’s, “B” logo disc patch in black, yellow and white tackle twill. The player number “77” appears on each sleeve in black tackle twill with white stitching. Above each player number on the sleeve is the team’s Bruins logo patch embroidered in brown stitching on black and yellow tackle twill. The player number “77” appears on the back in yellow on black on white triple tackle twill. Across the back on a black nameplate reads the player name, “BOURQUE” in yellow tackle twill with a black-stitched border on white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a Boston Bruins COA.
