In 1998 Ken Griffey Jr. led the American League in home runs, one of four times he accomplished that feat. Griffey also earned Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Awards that season, in addition to winning the Home Run Derby. Griffey was named to the MLB All-Century Team and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016. On the inside of the shell is the American Baseball Cap manufacturer’s sticker size “7 1-4”. The date clock inside the shell shows the helmet was manufactured in February of 1998. Across the front is the Mariners team logo decal and on the back is the “ABC” manufacturer’s logo, an “MLB” logo and the player number “24” decals. Griffey signed the bill of the helmet in silver marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 9. This helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used attributed to Ken Griffey Jr. and shows use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
