The Great One, HOFer Wayne Gretzy still held or shared 40 regular season records at the time of his retirement. Inside the back collar of this blue mesh jersey is the CENTER ICE AUTHENTIC COLLECTION label. The Rangers “Lady Liberty” team crest is at large on the front. There are Rangers team logo patches on each shoulder. Player number (99) is done on each sleeve as well as the back. Player name (GRETZKY) appears across the back. Both name and numbers are done in red on white on grey tackle twill. Embroidered on the back tail are two each, STARTER & NHL logos. Wayne signed and inscribed the right breast “Wayne Gretzky 99” in silver marker, in our opinion rating a 7. Despite the dark color of this jersey, there are stick marks and board burns. Fight strap intact. This jersey was given by Gretzky himself to New York Rangers teammate Doug Lidster, who in turn donated it to his hometown Kamloops, BC charity auction to benefit the Special Olympics. This gamer was purchased on behalf of the original consignor directly from the aforementioned charity auction in British Columbia. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
