These Magic Johnson Converse “Cons” shoes were produced for the 1992 Olympic Basketball games. Johnson was co-captain of “The Dream Team'' made up of basketball stars Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, David Robinson, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler and Christian Laettner. The team easily took the gold medal beating nearly every team by 40+ points. “Magic” is stitched into each shoe and the original box is hand labeled with “Olympic Shoes - Magic”. Johnson’s autograph appears in a dark ink on the left shoe. In our opinion the autograph rates a 7. The shoes in this lot are properly tagged but do not show wear, they have been presented to us as game-issued. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
