Baseball's most brilliant leadoff man came to quick prominence under Oakland A's manager Billy Martin and his hustling brand of "BillyBall." The speedy Henderson set the AL season steal record with 100 in 1980, his second Major League season. On the inside left front tail is the "Rawlings" label and size "42" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1991." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Athletics" in script-style letters made of green on gold tackle twill and on the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with "Henderson" in green tackle twill. The player number "24" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers are made of green on gold tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
