Mickey Mantle was a multi-talented offensive threat, driving in runs with enormous power from either side of the plate. Mantle was apart of 12 World Series Championship teams and seven World Championship teams, and holds World Series records for home runs (18), RBI (40), runs (42), walks (43), extra-base hits (26), and total bases (123). Mantle was elected into the Hall Of Fame in 1974 and named to the All-Century team in 1999. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions. Attached are two flag tags "46" and "BP" indicating jersey size and batting practice, respectively. Inside the rear collar is a grey embroidered strip tag with "Mantle 89 1" indicating the coach's name, year, and set, respectively. Across the chest reads, "NEW YORK." On the back of the jersey is the number "7." All numbers and letters are done in navy blue on white tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows coaches worn use.
