Dražen Petrovic was a Croatian professional basketball player who joined the NBA in 1989. A star on multiple stages, Petrovic earned two silver medals and one bronze in Olympic basketball, a gold and a bronze in the FIBA World Championship, and a gold and a bronze in the FIBA European Championship. He earned four Euroscar Awards, and was named Mr. Europa in basketball twice. In 1985 he received the Golden Badge award for best athlete of Yugoslavia. Petrovic died in a car accident at the age of 28 in 1993 and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2002. On the left front tail is the “MacGregor Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “44”. Above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Portland Trailblazers” tag. Adjacent are two strip tags, “88” and “4”LB”. The jersey is a carry over, tagged “88” but worn the following season in “89-90”. Across the front is “blazers”. Player number “44” appears on both the front and back. Player name “PETROVIC” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in red on white tackle twill. At the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a LOA from a former NBA trainer.
