Adrian Dantley was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. Dantley won the Rookie of the Year award in 1977 and was a two-time NBA scoring champion. He was voted an NBA All-Star six times and All-NBA Second Team two times. This jersey was used during the playoff series where Larry Bird stole the inbounds pass late in Game 5 of the 1987 Eastern Conference Finals, that eventually led to Dennis Johnson's’ game-winning layup. On the lower left side of the jersey is a “Sand-Knit” size “42” manufacturer’s tag. This tag has been re-attached to the tail and is now located above the distributor’s tag. Below is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the DETROIT PISTONS”. This jersey has been custom shortened by the team. On the right inseam is a tag that reads “100% NYLON” with washing instructions. On the left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads “PISTONS”. Player number “45” appears on the front and on the back. These are painted on in red with a white paint trim. Across the back reads player name “DANTLEY” in white vinyl lettering. On the inside rear waistline of the shorts is a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the DETROIT PISTONS”. A faded player number “45” is written on this tag. Adjacent is another “Sand-Knit” size “34” manufacturer’s tag. A faded player number “45” is written on this tag in two sports. Adjacent is a strip tag that reads “1”HR”. On the inside seam is a tag that reads “100% NYLON” with washing instructions. On the right thigh area is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
