Michael Jordan did everything in the 1987-88 season. Jordan won his first regular season MVP, averaging 35 points per game (NBA scoring champion) in addition to 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 3.2 steals. Jordan won his lone Defensive Player of the Year award, leading the NBA in steals and adding 1.6 blocks per game. On the front left tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “46”. Above is an additional Sand-Knit tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the CHICAGO BULLS”. Adjacent are two white strip tags that read “87” and “3”LB”. On the right inseam is a tag that reads “100% NYLON” with washing instructions. On the upper left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads “BULLS” painted in red on black. The player number “23” appears on the front and on the back in red on black vinyl lettering. Across the back reads player name “JORDAN” in red vinyl lettering applied directly to the white mesh jersey. The player name and numbers have been professionally restored with a faint outline of the original identifiers that remains. Matched known examples offered by the Bulls themselves throughout the years and are a trait we have seen on common Bulls jerseys from the era offered by the team. In the rear waistband of the shorts is the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “36” with the player number “23” handwritten on it in black marker. Adjacent to the right are two strip tags reading “2”HR” and “2”LI”. Adjacent to the left is the “Designed & Tailored” tag and a strip tag reading “87”. On the right leg is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. The Bulls team logo is on both legs. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
