Larry Bird called HOF Dennis Johnson, "the best player I ever played with". Considering Bird's supporting cast, Johnson's importance to the success of the Celtics can not be measured in mere statistics but more in the number of wins and losses. This Boston Celtics home warm-up jacket was worn by "DJ" during Boston's championship year of 1986 when the Celtic's posted a 40-1 home record. In the collar of the jacket is the "Sand-Knit" label reading "Made Exclusively for the Boston Celtics". Below this is another "Sand Knit" label with the size "44". Across the front of the jersey is the name "Celtics" and a three leaf clover appears on each sleeve. The name and clovers have been ironed-on. On the back of the jersey is a green nameplate with the player name "Johnson" in white tackle twill.
