The leader of the Boston Celtics that won three World Championships in the 1980’s, Hall of Famer Larry Bird was the NBA Finals MVP in 1984 and 1986. Larry Legend was also the NBA MVP for three consecutive seasons from 1984 through 1986. This jersey has been photo-matched to multiple games including games 1 and 2 of the 1987 Eastern Conference Finals. Bird recorded a double-double in all three games and a triple-double in game 1 with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. In game five, one of Bird’s more memorable plays happened when he stole the ball from Isaiah Thomas at the end of the 4th quarter to narrowly avoid defeat and ultimately lead his team to the NBA Finals. On the front left tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag size “46”. Adjacent above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS” tag. On the right inseam is a flag tag with jersey materials and washing instructions. On the upper left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads “CELTICS”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “33”. Across the back is the player name “BIRD”. All numbering and lettering is done in the same green tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a LOA from Photo-Match.com confirming the match to GI #102122910, LOAs from RGU confirming multiple game matches including the Eastern Conference Finals and an additional LOA grading the jersey an A10.
